Yet another drabble from the Winter OTP challenge. Museum Date with my legacy founder ❤
“What’s wrong, doll face?” Levi grabbed his wife’s face and willed her to look at him.
“Nothing,” she said simply. “I’m great.”
“You’re a terrible liar, dear. You don’t want to be here, do you?” He looked around the museum floor. Everything was fascinating. He loved seeing how people lived in the past, his time with Emit had taught him to appreciate the history of the world before there were people who could manipulate it.
“I just think the future is more fascinating,” She answered. “I’d like to see my descendants again. Maybe even see Emit again.”
“No.” He shook his head. “Absolutely not. Emit wasn’t joking, visiting the future was a one time thing for you. You cause too much trouble, and it seems to follow you wherever you go.”
“What!?” She whirled around to face him. “I do not-” There was a loud crash and the sound of glass shattering. Her mouth opened wide in shock. “Tell me I didn’t just break something from thousands of years ago.”
He chuckled. “Nope, you just broke a souvenir crystal ball. I think this was a bad idea, I forgot how clumsy you are.” He held her by her shoulders and veered her toward the exit.
“I want to stay, you love the past,” She protested.
He leaned closer to her ear and whispered. “Rather spend time with my future.” She felt herself blush. Levi was smooth.
